SHAI YP rang in the Persian new year at “Nowruz After Dark,” a celebration held at community member Hersel Torkian’s Solari. Set against a rooftop backdrop of sweeping NYC skyline views, DJ Josh Sarraf kept guests dancing throughout the night. The signature “Sabzeh Spritz” flowed at the open bar, and a kosher dinner was served with ice cold Faloodeh for dessert. Party goers were invited to explore their roots by having their name written by a Persian calligrapher on a post card from Iran and by pinning their ancestral cities on a map of Iran. Beyond an evening of music and celebration, the gathering underscored another pillar of SHAI YP’s mission: preserving Persian culture and tradition, and giving young professionals a meaningful way to celebrate their heritage together.
