On January 28, 2026, SHAI YP board hosted a co-ed “Sheshbesh and Chai” night, encouraging gamers and friends to come play a friendly competition. Despite the freezing temps, there was a full house at a chic midtown loft and players definitely brought the heat. Attendees had the option to participate in the tournament, led by Remy from the NYC Backgammon Club, or have a more chill night with casual play. The grand prize winner won a one of a kind backgammon board from Israel (and bragging rights!). The space was elevated with Persian decor and the chai was flowing. Gamers also got to bite on a variety of food and pastries to fuel their matches.
