A Joyous Father’s Day With Our Seniors

This June, our Father’s Day celebration at the SHAI Senior Center reminded us of something truly special: joy has no age.

Thanks to the love, dedication, and care of our incredible community, we gathered together for a beautiful afternoon filled with music, dancing, laughter, gratitude, and connection. A special thank you to Parvaneh Khodadadian for helping to make the celebration extra special with a beautiful festive cake that brought even more joy to the gathering.

With Persian songs filling the room, our seniors showed us once again that movement, happiness, and community are powerful forms of healing. Whether dancing, clapping, singing along, or moving in their own unique way, everyone reminded us that there is always a way to participate and celebrate.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who gives their time, energy, and heart to make the SHAI Senior Center such a beautiful place of belonging and connection: Parvaneh Khodadadian, Shirin Moinian, Mr. Yousefzadeh, Mojgan Khalily, Lily Kashani, Vahide Morad, Bob the driver, all of the volunteers, and so many others who continue to make this community feel like a true family.

At the Senior Center, we celebrate aging as an opportunity to continue learning, connecting, moving, and sharing the wisdom that comes with every year of life.

Joy has no age. Movement is medicine. Community is healing.

We are grateful to everyone who supports SHAI and helps to make these beautiful moments possible.
