Senior Center Brings Services and Safety to the Community

Our community’s Senior Center continues to be a welcoming hub for support and connection for local seniors. Recent events highlighted the center’s commitment to meeting practical needs while also creating opportunities for engagement and wellness.

On November 25th, Town Clerk Ragini Srivastava visited the Senior Center to issue senior identification cards on-site. This service was especially helpful for seniors whose driver’s licenses have expired, ensuring they still have valid identification without the need for additional travel.

The center also welcomed Assemblyman Daniel Norber, who distributed emergency preparedness backpack kits to seniors. During his visit, Assemblyman Norber provided demonstrations on how to use the kits and explained the importance of being prepared for emergencies. These kits offered peace of mind and practical tools for seniors and their families.

SHAI is very appreciative of this generous contribution and Assemblyman Norber’s continued support of the senior community.

The Senior Center remains dedicated to serving the evolving needs of our seniors, offering valuable resources today while planning engaging programs for the future.
