In celebration of the Persian New Year (Nowruz), SHAI and the Great Neck Parks Department hosted a festive cultural gathering on March 22, 2026, at Great Neck House. The event welcomed community members in celebration of the arrival of spring and the rich traditions of Persian heritage. Guests were greeted by a beautifully arranged Haft-Seen table, designed by Rozalin Davoodnia-Wise and Eleanor Yomtobian-Askari, showcasing the symbolic elements of Nowruz and creating a warm and elegant atmosphere for the celebration.

The afternoon featured an outstanding musical performance by Amir Vahab and his ensemble, who delighted the audience with a selection of beloved traditional Persian songs. The celebration also included captivating Persian dance performances by Leila Montazemi and company whose graceful choreography highlighted the beauty and vibrancy of Persian culture. The event brought together families and friends in a spirit of unity, joy, and cultural appreciation, reflecting SHAI’s ongoing commitment to celebrating diversity, preserving cultural traditions, and strengthening community connections.
