Learning to Lead

This year marked the tenth anniversary of SHAI Teen Leadership Sephardic Day Camp under the supervision of Rabbi Yamin Levy. Since its inception, this program has empowered our young leaders through a blend of sports, outdoor activities, education, community service projects, and Sephardic traditions. This past summer was an unforgettable experience for the participants and leaders alike, with over 50 teens aged 12-16 engaged in personal growth, teamwork, civic responsibility, and Jewish tradition. The feedback has been fantastic, with one mother writing “I can’t say enough good things about the SHAI Teen Leadership program.” With participation from both local private and public schools, a highlight of the summer was the forging of friendships between kids from different schools in Great Neck. We are looking forward to the growth of this vital program and an even better summer next year.
