On Sunday, May 31st, on a gorgeous spring day, SHAI joined thousands of marchers and spectators on New York City’s Fifth Avenue for the Celebrate Israel Parade. Busloads of SHAI community members rode together to Manhattan, singing, to march in this year’s parade, alongside community partners from local schools and synagogues across Nassau, Suffolk and the five boroughs. Our participants proudly sported matching shirts with the day’s theme, “Proud Americans, Proud Zionists” designed by our partners at JCRC, the Jewish Community Relations Council. SHAI’s contingent was organized with great care again this year  by Vice President Mike Shahkoohi. It was an incredible day of unity with area Jews and solidarity with the State of Israel.
