I was honored to be SHAI‘s first woman President in 2008 and have had the privilege to be part of its board for nearly 25 years. During this time, I have seen our thriving local Persian Jewish community grow and reach new heights of success. The concerns that we have today are not so different than they were back then! We want to stay connected as a community and to convey our unique and enduring values to our children.
I am immensely proud that the programs that were created during my presidency, including the SHAI Award of Merit, are still going strong. This organization has remained vibrant and vital due to our donors and the continuing efforts of our dedicated founders and board members, who volunteer countless hours of their time for the benefit of our community.
