After a three year pause, SHAI resumed its tradition of marching in the JCRC-NY Celebrate Israel Parade on Sunday, May 22, 2022. The parade theme this year was “Together Again – Kulanu B’Yachad,” celebrating the State of Israel’s 74th birthday. With over 40,000 marchers, dozens of fabulous floats, marching bands, and exciting Jewish and Israeli musical performers, the Celebrate Israel Parade is the world’s largest expression of solidarity with the Jewish state. After singing together on the buses, SHAI members joyfully marched up Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue, cheering and showing our passion and proud support for Israel, with SHAI banners and Israeli flags waving high. Special thanks to our SHAI Board Members, Michael Shahkoohi for organizing the event and sponsoring the beautiful shirts, and Keivan Farhadian for sponsoring the bus and food.
