On Wednesday, March 19, 2025, SHAI hosted a concert at the Great Neck Public Library marking Norooz, the Persian New Year, a time of renewal, celebration and  gatherings.  Over 300 attendees enjoyed the musical performance featuring Katayoun Moosazadeh on vocals, Arieh Aghajani on santoor, Shahriar Koroori on tombak and daf, Hedayat Shafiee on taar, Parisa Karimi on kamancheh, and Hamidreza Maleki on barbat. The ensemble played Norooz and popular Persian folk music songs.
  
A beautiful Haftsin table was created and donated by Ghoncheh and Dr. Ilan Cohen.  Haftsin is a ceremonial display featuring seven symbolic items, each starting with the Persian letter “S,” representing renewal, prosperity, and hope for the coming year.
