Education has always been a cornerstone of SHAI’s mission, and over the past three decades, SHAI has worked diligently to build and maintain strong relationships with local schools. A key example of this enduring partnership is SHAI’s long-standing collaboration with the Great Neck Public Schools.
This year, SHAI and the district’s United Parent Teacher Council co-sponsored an annual education panel entitled “Artificial Intelligence: Future Ready.” On April 1st, in the Main Library, the event drew a full house of community members eager to learn about the evolving role of AI in education. Panelists included Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kenneth R. Bossert, Assistant Superintendent for Secondary Education Dr. Daniel Holtzman, and District Technology Director Dr. Justin Lander. Together, they explored best practices for integrating AI in the classroom and discussed its potential to shape the future of learning.
Prior to the event, SHAI’s Board of Trustees welcomed members of the Great Neck Public Schools Central Administration and all five trustees of the Great Neck Public Schools Board of Education to our office to further strengthen ties and promote ongoing dialogue. In a gesture of cultural exchange and educational enrichment, SHAI presented several books on Persian history and Jewish culture, including the Shahnameh For Kids.
SHAI continues to build bridges and foster community educational development through initiatives like these.
