On March 26, 2024, SHAI board members were invited guests at New York City Mayor Eric Adams’ Nowruz Celebration at Gracie Mansion. The celebration featured a beautiful Haftseen table, Persian music, and kosher food. Mayor Adams welcomed the crowd and expressed his appreciation of Persian culture and the contributions of the Persian community to the City of New York. Mayor Adams also introduced Fabian Levy, Deputy Mayor for Communications. Fabien is the first Iranian-American to serve as a Deputy Mayor (and one of the honorees at our upcoming SHAI Gala on May 28th). Nowruz at Gracie Mansion was truly special and we look forward to participating again next year.
