On December 17th, SHAI celebrated Chanukah at Gracie Mansion. Along with other organizations including ADL,UJA, JCRC, and StandWithUS, SHAI enjoyed this special event with Mayor Eric Adams, Gala honoree Deputy Mayor of Communications Fabien Levy, newly appointed Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch, Consul General Ofir Akunis, and Gala honoree Ari Ackerman. Commissioner Tisch, introduced by Levy as the city’s first Jewish police commissioner, addressed the crowd and spoke about the miracle of Chanukah. She is truly a modern day Yehudit from the Chanukah story protecting our great city. Local Great Neck student Tali Dardashtian and influencer Lizzy Savestsky were honored along with others.
